How do I Register?

If you’d like to join GlobalForce, your first step is to sign up for an Account. It’s easy.

Just go to http://www.globalforcenetwork.com/signup.php and complete the form. (Remember, your login name and password must not contain any spaces.) After you submit your information, we’ll send you an eMail with a link for activating your account.

If you don’t receive an eMail from us right away, check your spam folder. If this is our first eMail to you, our response might have landed in there.

How do I access My Account?

To enjoy full use of GlobalForce, you must first register for an Account with us, either as a Free Member or as an Affiliate.

Once you’ve registered, remember your login name and password: you’ll need to enter these exactly as when you registered to access your Account.

Oh, and be sure that your browser has cookies enabled. (Set it to take cookies from www.globalforcenetwork.com) Otherwise, you might have trouble staying logged in.

What if I Forget My Password?

Don’t worry if you forget your password. (It happens!) By using our Password Reset Tool, you can have a new, randomly generated password sent to the eMail address you used when you registered.

Why won’t My Profile Image change?

When uploading an image for your profile, be sure it’s in .jpg or .gif format and that it’s a reasonable size (no large 5 megapixels photos).

If you’ve uploaded a new image and it doesn’t appear, refresh your browser. If that doesn’t work, try emptying your cache.

If all else fails, contact us and we’ll work to help you resolve the problem.

How do I crop My Profile image?

After you upload a new image for your profile, you’ll be asked to crop it. To crop, click and drag the corners of the crop box until you’ve achieved the look you want.

Once you’ve finished cropping your photo, choose “Save” and your new Avatar is good to go!

How do I change My Profile information?

To change the information on your profile, log in to your Account and click the “Edit Your Profile” link at the top right corner of the webpage.

Once you’ve made the changes you want, hit “Save Changes.”

To change your Avatar, just click the link below your current Avatar.

How do I use Blogs?

If you’d like to compose a blog, first go to the “Edit Your Profile” link. Below the section for changing your member details, you’ll find the Blog section. Just click the link, “Compose Blog,” (it’s next to the “Edit Blog” header), and you can create your blog title and blog post.

Once you’re done, simply click “Save.”

How do I Add Friends?

To add a friend, navigate to that person’s profile or locate his or her name in the community listings. There, you’ll find an icon with a blue silhouette and a green plus-sign. Click that, and you’ll send that person a friendship request.

When you do that, that person will receive an eMail asking to confirm you as a friend. Once he or she does so, you’ll both be added to each other’s friends lists.

How do I Contact other Members?

On every GlobalForce user’s profile, you’ll find an icon with an envelope and blue arrow. Click that, and you can send that user a message.

Once you’ve hit “Send,” your message will appear in that user’s Inbox, as well as in your Outbox.

You can access both your Inbox and Outbox by clicking the “Edit Your Profile” link at the top of our site.

How do I calculate My Carbon Footprint?

Before you calculate your carbon footprint, make sure you’re logged in to your Account – that ensures that any new information you generate is saved.

Once you’ve logged in, navigate to the Carbon Calculator, and enter the appropriate information under each specific category. Your calculations will be saved to your public profile, where you can track your ongoing changes as you work to improve.

After you’ve finished, you might also choose to offset your carbon footprint. How? It’s easy! Just click the “Offset Now” button at the bottom of the calculator screen.
